Our expectation is that ALL of our students will graduate from high school, and go on to pursue a
post-high school education.

Thanks for supporting Christian, and the many other children we serve!

We are thrilled to announce that one of our high school students is making Daniel Center history! Braxton is one of the first students to not only graduate high school but also be accepted into college. Braxton has been accepted in the School of Social Sciences at Ferrum College, in Virginia. He will be pursuing a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Yesterday our Founder and Executive Director, Kirby Jones had the pleasure of attending Braxton's signing ceremony at Broughton High School. Braxton will also join the Ferrum College wrestling team.

We are so proud of the hard work and determination that Braxton has shown throughout his school year!

A group of our students recently took First Place in the 8th annual NC Section of the American Water Works Association's (NC AWWA), Water Tower Competition!

Each team of up to four students was required to design and build a functioning model water tower that was structurally efficient, held water, and could be filled and drained quickly, while also being aesthetically pleasing. The towers were judged based upon hydraulic efficiency, cost efficiency, structural efficiency, and design ingenuity.

The first, second and third place teams in each division were awarded cash prizes and trophies!

Thanks to you and your votes, The Daniel Center for Math and Science won a $5500.00 grant from PC Construction! This grant will go a long way in our mission of narrowing the education gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, for at-risk youth and economically disadvantaged youth.
